Carolyn Bahrman

First Quilt

After retirement, Carolyn and her husband moved to Oregon to be near family. Her sister-in-law decided that Carolyn would become her Sewing Buddy. Taking her under her wing, she introduced Carolyn to a quilt shop and got her into a beginning quilting class. All the fabrics for this quilt came from her sister-in-law’s stash.
Carolyn learn two big things about quilting:
1. It puts your creativity to good use!
2. The camaraderie among quilters is something to behold. Carolyn's Beginner Quilt

Favorite Quilt

Carolyn’s daughter-in-law sent this pattern (Dance of the Dragonflies) to her. That summer, Carolyn happened to be hosting two of her granddaughters. Even though the girls were beginning quilters, they all worked together to figure out this gorgeous quilt and get it made. The memories that this quilt holds are very precious.Carolyn's Favorite Quilt

A More Recent Quilt

Carolyn and two of her quilting friends went to the quilt shop for the purpose of finding fabrics just for this quilt. Even though she had many, many small pieces to keep in order, the greatest enjoyment of making this quilt was how well the colors all came together. She was surprised but loves how this quilt sparkles!Carolyn's Later Quilt
