We have another successful MPS Quilt College in the books! It was held at our General Meeting on Tuesday, May 27, 2025; and thanks to our presenters, we have new techniques and ideas to try as we head into our quilting studios.  Click on the buttons to see the PowerPoint version of each presentation.

Carolyn showed us how to use small panels to make interesting (not to mention adorable) disappearing nine-patch quilts.  It’s easier than you think and the results are really fun.Panel Disappearing Nine-Patch

Michele took us through her process of putting together improvisational blocks for quilts.  She gives herself boundaries which help to get her started and also create quilts without some of the chaos.Improvisational Piecing

Nancy explained her method of using one of her favorite quilting tools, the Hera Marker.  With the help of her treasured LED light, she’s able to mark quilting lines to her heart’s content without the fear of the markings being permanent.Using the Hera Marker

Ruthann recently learned how to make mitered facings to use instead of bindings to finish a quilt.  She was so happy with her results, she wanted to share the process with the rest of us.  We’re glad she did!
