Our annual Silent Auction is coming on August 22, 2023!  That’s the night of our regular Guild meeting, so we’ll start it at 6:30 PM.  It will be held at the Bethel Congregational Church which is where our meetings are held.  You can find out more details by clicking here. (Click on images for a larger view) Another Quilters’ Affair and Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show are in the books.  As always, the week was full of surprises.  One of the best surprises was a tour of the Alpaca Country Estates, a 134-acre ranch with over 1000 alpacas owned by Nancy and Art Izer.  It is located between Sisters and Terrebonne. That happened to me while we were visiting the Grand Teton National Park last month. Lamb Farm Retreat

Every year, my small group goes on a quilting retreat for three nights in January.  We generally search VRBO or AirBnB to find a house that will work for us.  These are our search parameters in order of importance:  must have enough space for each of us to set up a sewing station (which usually involves moving furniture), must have enough sleeping space (beds preferred, but I slept on an air mattress on the floor once!), must have a decent kitchen for dinner preparation (we take care of ourselves individually for breakfast and lunch). Submitted by Dianne McD. A few months ago, I happened upon this fabric line while perusing an online fabric shop.  I’d never heard of Tilda Fabrics, so I thought I’d learn more about it. Turns out, the fabric brand was created by the Norwegian designer, Tone Finnanger in 1999.  Currently, Tilda Fabrics introduces three design collections a year.  And included in these collections are things like buttons, ribbons, kits and other accessories  The designs are pretty and there are very nice colorways in each collection.
