The Columbia Gorge Museum, which is located in Stevenson, Washington, is hosting a new exhibition, “Ms. Molly’s Voice: Family and Freedom Spoken in Fabric.” This remarkable showcase highlights the life and legacy of Ms. Molly, an enslaved woman whose extraordinary quilting talents documented her life, communicated with her community and the Underground Railroad, and expressed her unwavering love and commitment to her family. The exhibition comes to us through the dedication of Ms. Molly’s third great grandson, Jim Tharpe. To celebrate this special event, we’ve been invited to attend the opening night on June 1, 2024, at 6:00 PM. Mr. Tharpe will be sharing theRead More →
