Submitted by Dianne McD. At our MPS Guild meeting for March 2023, Laurie Wildey of 406 Quilts and Crafts came to us over Zoom and taught us Shannon Brinkley’s method of Scrappy Applique. Two days later, 13 MPS members gathered in the conference room of Bethel Congregational Church to try their hand at this new (to them) quilting technique.  The play day was facilitated by our Program Chairs, Christie and Liz.  Although the room was small, the success rate was huge! Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA) is presenting an exhibit at the Multnomah Arts Center located in Multnomah Village in Portland, Oregon.  The exhibit is called “Emergence: Fiber Art from Concept to Stitch”.  The show began on January 6th and will continue through February 11th, 2023.
