Netflix is dropping a short documentary on Friday, May 16, 2025 called “The Quilters”. The story is about men who are housed in a maximum-security prison in Missouri who design and make quilts. These quilts are then given to foster children in the area. The documentary was released in June of 2024, and has won several awards.
This looks to be a worthwhile (and maybe even a little heartbreaking) film to watch. Set aside some time-about thirty minutes-to sit and be inspired by these quilters who love their craft and design their quilts to be given away to someone who needs them. If you don’t have Netflix, chances are you know someone who does and would be happy to share in the experience of watching this film.
