“Spring Celebration” I made this little quilt following a workshop, New York Beauties, that I took last year at the Sister’s Quilt Show. It was fun to design and make using paper-pieced quilting. I love putting yellows and blues together.

I just finished a class using Floriani Stitch N Wash Fusible taught in Seattle by Vicki Conley. It was called Turned Edge Machine Piecing. It was similar to using freezer paper and starch to appliqué except that we used the much firmer product, Floriani. Quite fun and easy to use and washes out to make a soft finished project. I used one of Vicki’s Patterns called Slot Canyon.

It is about birds, good luck and inspiration for a graduate from high school who is heading to college at Oregon State.

“Glamping Sweet Glamping” I picked up this kit from the free table at a guild meeting. When I started making it, I knew it was for my mom. I accidentally tossed the pattern and cannot remember the details or where it was from.

“Pinwheel Baby Quilt” I wanted to show this because I found the pinwheel blocks on the free table a couple of months ago!

“Sunshine Sisters” My snowbird sewing group here in Florida decided to do a group quilt. One of the gals in the group designed the Quilt blocks and we each were assigned one block that we needed to make-for a total of nine-out of the color that we chose to go with the focal fabric.

This is for my granddaughter and her husband. It was a challenge me because their color preference is quite different from mine. They prefer neutrals and grayed tones of color. In spite of this difference I was able to find most of the fabric I used in my stash. The print in the center was the inspiration for my fabric pull.

“Birthday Banner” My grandson celebrates his 10th birthday. He loves Legos and trying to teach Grandma to play Nintendo with him. Grandma’s Nintendo skills are much lacking! This is the 43rd birthday banner made.

Vickie Rooks

“Puzzling” This quilt is made from a free pattern and two jellyrolls. Quilted by Nancy Stovall of Just Quilting.

Teresa Scollard

“Stars in Blue” I was the lucky winner of the Willamette Valley Quilt show Raffle Quilt held at their show “Quilts in Bloom” on June 20 and 21, 2025. at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds.
The nice lady who brought it to me, said that the members made the stars with some size parameters, then another group figured out the design, and another member quilted it.

I have been quilting donation quilts for the Providence Passage project. The children’s quilts were given to the NCIU at Portland Providence. The cow kid fabric was purchased at the silent auction. The book fabric quilt was given to a friend who retired as a school librarian.
