“Scrappy Stars” Continuing with my goal of making quilts using my 2 1/2 squares, I used an image on Pinterest for my inspiration for these scrappy stars using the squares to make HST. Adding the purple boxes in the design gave it places to rest your eyes as one views the quilt. It is backed in stash pieces of flannel which make the quilt cozy.

Over 25 years ago, I purchased duck fabrics for granddaughter and co-workers baby quilts. Had some large scraps and decided to make a simple NICU that I could quilt with a walking foot because of the left arm cast. Win all the way around: used a scrap collection, got to sew with a cast and the NICU will receive a quilt!

Quilt pieced during Winter Blues Zoom gathering with my own precuts: 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 and 2 1/2 sq. My left arm was in a cast so cutting with a rotary cutter was a challenge. Great opportunity to use my precuts! When the cast came off, I did a simple free motion on the quilt.

“The Graduate Meteorologist” My grandson is graduating from Penn State in meteorology. I fell in love with this fabric last summer and enjoyed figuring out how to use it. It’s a simple pattern but challenging to keep the pieces twisted correctly.

“Union Square” My Son wanted to learn how to make a Gym bag the night before we took him to the airport. He proceeded to tear through my stash which revealed a whole bunch of things that were started. He found this Quilt in my stash. I made it in 2018 but never quilted it. I’m going to use it to make a quilt jacket.

“Block Exchange” This was another unfinished project that was found while my son was going through my stash.

“Zen” This was a free pattern from Lauren Jackson of Bold Notion Quilting. I made the quilt in 2007 and quilted it the end of March in 2026. So this Quilt has been sitting in my stash for 19 years. I even had the binding made.

A friend of Polli’s made the center block of the table runner for her but died before they could create anything with it together. When visiting Polli last year I offered to finish it for her. I then redrafted the lantern block to make it smaller for the two place mats I made to go with the table runner.

A friend purchased the pattern and fabric to make this as a queen sized quilt. When getting ready to move she acknowledged that she was never going to make it so asked if I’d like to use it for a quilt for CARES. I said yes but made two smaller quilts instead of one large one.

“Zoe’s 4-Patch and 9” This is the second quilt made from the fabrics purchased for a queen sized Yellow Brick Road quilt.

“Ansel’s Dinosaurs” My mom and I started the Dinosaurs quilt in April 2025 at a quilt retreat. I made 11 of the 14 dinosaurs and some of the foliage. My mom made 3 dinosaurs (Stegosaurus), some foliage, and did the setting. We used my stash of of Alison Glass and Libs Elliott fabrics for the dinosaurs. My mom quilted it on her longarm. Backing from Joann before they closed.
