Submitted by Dianne McD. Organizing…love it or hate it! I think I fall somewhere in the middle.  I do love an organized sewing studio, although there are times you wouldn’t know it by looking at it.  And my stash is organized by color, which works very well for me.  Where I lack organization is in my project ideas.  Every MPS Show & Tell and General Meeting sends way too much inspiration my way and I want to try it all. A couple of weeks ago, Krista Moser wrote about “The Get’er Done Guide” that she created.  It’s clever, cute, and just might be the thingRead More →

Submitted by Dianne McD. It’s been a little over 9 months since MPS announced the quilt challenge for 2023.  The theme is “Heritage on a Small Scale” and you can read more about the challenge by following the button link below. Deb Messina is an MPS member who has accepted the challenge, but had also struggled to come up with a concrete plan.  Deb ownsRead More →

That happened to me while we were visiting the Grand Teton National Park last month. Our sons had won a National Park lottery to hike in the backcountry of the Grand Tetons, and we got to go along as their ground support.  Our job was to retrieve Bryce from the Boise airport and Chris from the Jackson Hole airport, get them delivered to the trailhead, pick them up five days later at the other end, and deposit them to the airportRead More →

Submitted by Dianne McD. A few months ago, I happened upon this fabric line while perusing an online fabric shop.  I’d never heard of Tilda Fabrics, so I thought I’d learn more about it. Turns out, the fabric brand was created by the Norwegian designer, Tone Finnanger in 1999.  Currently, Tilda Fabrics introduces three design collections a year.  And included in these collections are things like buttons, ribbons, kits and other accessories  The designs are pretty and there are very nice colorways in each collection. But what really caught my eye was all her free patterns.  There are many and they range from easy toRead More →
