(click images for a larger view) I would argue the same could be said for quilting.  That’s why combining a garden show with quilts seems like a natural way to go.  Garden tours are delightful; but when you throw quilts into the mix, the results are wonderful! Submitted by Liz M. The Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show is held the second Saturday of July each year. This year, July 11, marked the 45th anniversary of the show. Due to COVID-19 cancellations, the show used the internet and social media to hold the show virtually. A virtual show is not the same as an in-person show but the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show and The Stitchin’ Post teams put a lot of work into sharing quilts and information with quilters around the world. Fifteen years ago, a group of women decided to form a quilt guild on the west side of the Portland Metro area. Terry Grant was part of that group who became the Founding Mothers of Metropolitan Patchwork Society (MPS). She is a graphic artist by training and created the original enamel pin many of our members wear.
