Metropolitan Patchwork Society (MPS) held their bi-annual quilt show on March 16, 2019 at the Beaverton Library.  It coincided with National Quilt Day and the Challenge theme was “Books”.  (You can click on any of the pictures to see a larger image). The one-day show was free and drew about 350 people, mainly from the Farmer’s Market and the Library patrons.  Many attendees had never seen a quilt show and there were lots of positive comments! A number of years ago, a small group of the founding mothers of MPS worked with The old Aurora Colony Museum to coordinate and hang their annual quilt show. The group stayed together and did a second year before handing the reins to a new group of quilters local to Aurora. The Museum is an interesting venue to stage quilts and quilt-related items. The Clark County Quilters annual show is this weekend!  This local guild is located in Vancouver, Washington.
