Studio Art Quilt Associates, Inc. (SAQA) is presenting an exhibit at the Multnomah Arts Center located in Multnomah Village in Portland, Oregon.  The exhibit is called “Emergence: Fiber Art from Concept to Stitch”.  The show began on January 6th and will continue through February 11th, 2023. Submitted by Dianne McD. I subscribe to the quilting publication called Quiltfolk.  It’s a beautiful magazine full of photos of quilts and quilters. I especially enjoy it because there are no advertisements in the magazine.  It’s issued quarterly, and each magazine focuses on one of our country’s states and the quilters that live there. On Tuesday, September 27th, we started our new MPS 2022-23 year with our very first Hybrid Guild meeting.  Now that we’re coming out of the COVID pandemic, we’re hearing about hybrid meetings quite often.  But what does that mean? Just for curiosity’s sake, I looked up the definition of hybrid.  The dictionary on my Google search app defines it as: a thing made by combining two different elements; of mixed character; composed of mixed parts So, I would say our hybrid meetings are created by mixing the elements of an in-person meeting with the elements of a Zoom meeting.
