(click images for a larger view) On the warm evening of August 23rd, 2022, MPS held its annual Silent Auction in the Fellowship Hall of the Bethel Congregational Church in Beaverton, OR.  With over 200 items up for bid, there was something for everyone.  Besides many curated packets of fabric, there were quilt kits, books, puzzles, bags stuffed full of beautiful fabric with a pattern to go with them, a basket full of wonderful linens, and a 1940 Singer Featherweight sewing machine.  I think I even saw a bottle of wine tucked inside one ofRead More →

Silent Auction and Potluck Only 4 Days Away

That’s right.  Only 4 days!  Tuesday, March 22nd is the night of the big event.  Hope you’re gathering your dollar bills or digging around to find your checkbook.  We’ll also have a credit card reader there if that is more convenient for you.  The bidding begins at 6:00PM. While we’re bidding, we’ll fit in dinner and do a tiny bit of business.  There will be more than 100 items spread around the room waiting for our bids.  We thought we’d share more photos of a few of them. Longtime MPS member Michelle Herrmann said her goodbyes a few days ago at the August guild meeting. She and her husband are moving to Seattle.
