“Crossroads” Started this in 2014 and now it is finished! Used up some of the scraps I had pre-cut into 2 1/2″ squares. Quilted by Nancy Stovall.

“Pandemic Words” Started this during the Pandemic. I wanted to make a quilt with a variety of block sizes. On some of the blocks, I embroidered words from a list a friend provided daily during the pandemic. A friend gave me the two charm squares of TP fabric and RBG fabric. Quilted by Nancy Stovall.

“Night Flyer” I was very intrigued with the Accordion HST method presented at the September MPS meeting. I wanted to try it on a small scale so I made a pillow cover.

“Twinkle Treat for Halloween” This quilt came as a kit with the fabric and lights. Double-sided fusible web is used for the applique. The mini “rice” lights are held in place with tiny rubber O-rings. The kit comes with a nice layout and good instructions, (and excellent customer service.) They will be at the Puyallup Expo.

“Ghostly Greetings” I am a big fan of Halloween! When I found this kit I had to have it. I have a few Halloween wall hangings but always seem to have space for one more. This one is so fun and very retro looking.

“Lennon’s Quilt” I saw the backing fabric and was inspired by its color and design. I found a Connecting Threads kit (on sale!) and thought it would work with the backing fabric. My grandson has a new bed so offered it to him for his blue car bed frame.

“Pretty Posies” I saw this quilt in a magazine a couple of years ago and liked the simple design and various flowers. Recently it went on sale at Connecting Threads and I purchased it. Fun to piece – there are four flower designs. Fun summer quilt! Quilted by Maria Egoroff.

I had lots of scraps from the original quilt. Making the flowers was fun so decided to use the scraps for a Hospice quilt.

“Dan and Karen’s Gratitude Quilt” This quilt was a group project with one of my small quilt groups. We mixed prints with batiks and it turned out successfully! It’s a gift to the retiring director of Alton Collins Retreat Center and was gratefully received. It’s entertaining to assemble because it’s fun to see each leaf develop. Quilted by Lori Hecker.

Christie Frey

Just looking for fun hostess gifts ideas. Really enjoyed making the fall leaves. Then created a pattern for Christmas trees. Fun to do my favorite FMQ filler.

Michelle (Bellzer) Frenkle

“Bellzer’s 100 Blocks” Had book for seven years…
Picked it up December of ‘24, and finished ALL 100 blocks by 2/19/25. I had it long-armed (first time to EVER pay for that service), and after leaving it at The Quilt Basket for ten plus weeks…voila!!! Label made by Dawn White’s method on her blog. Quilted by The Quilt Basket.

Teresa Koster

“Happiness 2.0” My new friend who lives down the road from me has a Quilt Room to die for. She called me down the other day and said that she had a project she wanted to give to me, project 63. She said she would not live long enough to do all of her projects. So I took it on and I made it. I love how it turned out.

Early Quilt

“Happy 85th Birthday to my Mom” This is one of my early quilts. I hand embroidered the muslin squares and then designed the quilt around the finished squares. I loved the backing fabric and was able to make it work by adding the same border fabric as on the front. This quilt came back to me after my Mom’s passing 10 years ago. There are a few tea stains and Sharpie lines on it so I’m pretty sure it was used.

Skill Building to Boost my Quilting

“Merry Sampler” Although I had already been quilting for about 8 years, I was “absolutely” delighted with this class (Absolutely Beginning Quilting) and its positive effects on both my quilting skills and knowledge. Each student selected their own fabrics. I used the border fabric as the inspiration for the rest of my fabric choices. The backing is the same as the borders. I did simple stitch-in-the-ditch quilting.

Largest Quilt

“Stars at the Beach” I made this quilt with over 2,500 pieces for my son and his wife. It is the largest quilt I’ve ever made and may be the largest one I’ll ever make! The Bloc-Loc rulers were extremely helpful in keeping the blocks even in size which made putting everything together so much easier. I loved finding the extra-wide quilt backing, thanks to my friend, Pat. Quilted by Jenice Poff.
