“Every Quilt Tells a Story.” That’s the theme of the Metropolitan Patchwork Society’s 2017 Quilt Show.  With that theme, what better place to hold the quilt show than at the beautiful Beaverton City Library located in the heart of Beaverton, Oregon! The quilt show will be held on National Quilting Day which is Saturday, March 18 this year.  It will be open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  And admission will be FREE! Due to the hard work of our MPS Program Chairs, we have many fabulous workshops to offer in 2017: In January, we are offering a workshop by Sam Hunter.  She spoke to us in October and inspired us so much, we asked her to come back and lead a workshop.  She’ll be teaching us how to make her Dingbat Quilt, and will have the pattern for each student at the workshop which is included in the fee!  No need to purchase the pattern before class. MPS will be featuring its annual Quilt College this coming Tuesday, May 24th, at 6:30 PM.  Our quilting professors are all lined up, and they have chosen their subject matter for the mini-courses.  The rest of us will be divided into four learning groups, and over the course of the evening, we will be given the opportunity to attend each class. This year, our teaching staff includes Judy Liebo, Marcia Sanderman, Bette King, and Carolyn Bahrman.
